Description

This is a PowerPoint lesson on the Distributive Property. Included are slides which complement the presentation and should be used as handouts. This a a great way to keep your students on task!
The first slides introduce terminology, combining like terms, and applying the distributive property. Next, are seven slides which cover these concepts and also simplifying the expressions.
To support the distributive property, a value is given for the variable to evaluate. This will verify the process of applying the distributive property.
Because some teachers will approach the instruction of the subtraction of integers by "adding the opposite", I have provided a separate lessons to incorporate this teaching method. You choose which lesson supports your teaching method.
The lesson will cover many concepts, has great visuals and will keep your students engaged. Students will enjoy this lesson.
