Description

Students use the distributive property and combine like terms to simplify 20 different algebraic expressions. If the students input the correct answer, the answer cell turns green, incorrect answers will turn the cell red.

Answers for 1-14 are coded as correct if you distribute and do not rearrange any terms.

Answers for 15-20 must have the variable terms first, for examples -6x+13 will turn green but 13-6x will turn red

Do not included leading coefficients of 1 "x+4" will turn green, "1x+4" will turn red. Do not include any extra spaces when typing answers in.

My students loved this. Whatever they were not able to finish in class, I let them complete as homework and their were able to know immediately whether or not they were correct and ultimately understanding distribution and combining like terms. Would LOVE to use more for other topics!
