What are Boom Cards??

  • They are interactive, self-grading flash cards.

Why are Boom Cards so great??

  • They are self-grading. Students get automatic feedback on how they are doing AND teachers get the results. This takes away tons of time spent marking!!
  • They are easy for students to use, and easy for teachers to assign.
  • They can be used in the classroom and during online learning.
  • They are versatile: they can be played on a laptop, iPad, tablet, or computer.

Never used Boom Cards before??

  • To access the Boom Cards, you will need to create an account on the Boom Learning website.
  • You can choose to set up a free or paid account.
  • With the free account, you can assign the Boom Cards to students by using an access pin/code (students do not have a login). With the free version, kids will complete the Boom Cards, but you will not get the progress reports as a teacher.
  • With the paid account ($15/year), you will give students specific logins. For Google Classroom users, students use their Google Classroom login. For non-Google Classroom users, students use a login which you create for them. With the paid account, students will complete the Boom Cards and teachers will get progress reports about each student (which questions they got correct, how long they took).

Interpret whole-number quotients of whole numbers, e.g., interpret 56 ÷ 8 as the number of objects in each share when 56 objects are partitioned equally into 8 shares, or as a number of shares when 56 objects are partitioned into equal shares of 8 objects each. For example, describe a context in which a number of shares or a number of groups can be expressed as 56 ÷ 8.
