Description

Looking for a great resource to discuss race & racism that is funny, interesting, and middle/high schoolers won't groan (as much) about? The activity-book "Do the Work" by W. Kamau Bell and Kate Schatz is hands-on way to learn about privilege, racism (history), anti-racism, and many other connected concepts.

This resource is a quick reference to how I implemented the first lesson in a series of twelve lessons during Black History month. It includes a brief lesson plan and then a homework page based on a reference page in the book.

Note: I do not own any right to "Do the Work," and you do need a copy (at least) to make this resource work. It can't standalone, since the assignment relies on students having access to pages 21-23.
