Dogs and puppies! Poetry and reading fluency! They are surely my favorite things! I've combined my love of all four in this literacy learning pack! It is full of original, rhymed poems that your primary grade students will love to practice as a group choral read, with a partner, independently or for homework with family members. What a fun way to build reading fluency and phonemic awareness, right?

Each of the four original poems in this pack has a related context clue, rhyming, and poetry-writing practice page that you can use over the course of one week. That adds up to ONE MONTH of lessons! I always alternated using the materials in whole group and as literacy center activities.

So much in this that can be really delved into. Really helped students see the rhyme in words and then add their own words to the list. We went on a rhyming word hunt with words around the room and they had to sort them using the sheets in this pack.
