Looking for a fun Easter Math Craft? This Easter place value activity includes shapes for students to fill, color, cut out and display. On each shape students represent a number in 4 or 5 different ways. There are 3 different Easter shapes and each one comes in 2, 3 and 4 digit versions. Every version is provided in color and black and white. A fun way to celebrate Easter!

The themed shapes make a great place value center or a fun before Easter math activity. There are also colored shapes included to create cute write on activities for a fun math center!

You simply choose whether you want 2, 3 or 4 digit numbers making these perfect for first grade, second grade and third grade.

Then choose which shape and whether you want to work with the black and white shapes or the colour shapes.

TEACHERS' NOTES

Teacher Notes for using the place value shapes are included.

These include different options for using the black and white pages, the color pages, selecting the numbers to work with and also options for displaying.

DIFFERENTIATED

Teachers can choose to use the shapes for 2, 3 or 4 digit numbers.

  • The first shape has students record the number in 4 different formats.
  • The second shape has students record the number in 5 different formats.
  • The third shape has students record the number in 5 different formats and also add and take from the number.

USING THE BLACK AND WHITE SHAPES

Students can fill in, colour, cut out and display!

Each shape contains slightly different sections to complete.

You can choose to use all three or use just one or two.

These can then be displayed on a bulletin board or can be hung up on a line to be displayed.

Print a sheet (or 2 or 3) for each student.

USING THE COLOR SHAPES

These can be printed out then either laminated or put into a dry erase pocket for students to complete with dry erase markers.

Another option is to print on card then cut out and laminate or print on card, laminate then cut out.

Students are either given a number to work with or can select a number to work with.

Alternatively, a number can be recorded on the shape under standard form before being laminated or put into a dry erase pocket.

These activities are suggested for first grade, second grade and third grade but could be used successfully with higher grades also. Please see the preview to determine if these are suitable for your students.

AMERICAN AND BRITISH VERSIONS INCLUDED

Please Note: Your file will include 2 versions. Number words are written in different ways in different countries with and without the use of ‘and’ e.g. 'nine hundred seven' or 'nine hundred and seven'. Please use the British edition if you use ‘and’ when writing number words.
