Dollar-Up Visual Shopping Worksheet
Share

Description

This visual dollar-up worksheet includes real pictures of 16 commonly purchased items at Smart & Final, along with their actual prices. Students will use the dollar-up method to determine how much money they will need to pay for each item, then color or shade the correct number of $1 bills. At the end of the worksheet, visual and written instructions give them directions to count all of the shaded or colored dollars to calculate how much money to give the cashier in order to pay for the shopping trip.

This worksheet can be completed in the classroom as a dollar-up practice exercise, or brought into the community to guide students in both shopping a grocery list and making purchases with real money.
