Description

Set Up:

Divide your class into small groups or partners, make sure each group has access to a computer, and give the class the link to the activity.

For each section of this escape room, students are asked to answer 6 multiple choice questions. The code to escape that section will be the answers.

For example, if the answers are

1) D

2) C

3) D

4) A

5) B

6) C

then the code is DCDABC. All uppercase letters with no spaces.

Once the students type in the correct code, the google form will allow them to move to the next section.

Students will need to successfully complete all 5 sections in order to escape.

Topics:

Section 1: Students determine if tables, sets of ordered pairs, and graphs represent functions.

Section 2: Students determine the domain and range of tables, sets of ordered pairs, and discrete graphs.

Section 3: Students determine the domain and range of graphs that do not contain infinity.

Section 4: Students determine the domain and range of graphs that do contain infinity.

Section 5: Depth of Knowledge 2 type questions with domain and range.

This activity is aligned to the Pennsylvania state standards, and these align with many other state standards as well. · A1.2.1.1.2 Determine whether a relation is a function, given a set of points or a graph.
