Description
There are a total of 5 stations (or tasks). Each station has an option of 4 question.
Topics:
(1) Domain/Range/Function (Y/N) from a continuous and non-continuous graph
(2) Domain/Range/Function (Y/N) from maps, tables, and a set of ordered pairs
(3) Domain/Range/Function (Y/N) from real-life scenarios
How to use the task cards:
Option 1 - Stations
Place all 4 cards at a station and have students move in partners or groups from station-to-station solving at least 1 task of their choice.
Option 2 – Task Cards
Create a packet of task-cards for the students to work on in their own group. Groups of 2-3 students usually work best.
Option 3 – Warmup and/or Exit Slip
Use 1 task card from each category as a warmup or exit slip
Option 4 – Grouping Students
As you greet your students entering the classroom, hand them each a task card and have them complete it to the best of their ability as a warmup. Then have your students find either (1) all of the categories from 1-5 to make a group (which will make a group of 5) or (2) all of the same category (which will make a group of 4)
Option 5 – Test/Quiz
Allow your students choice when choosing the questions they answer. For example, students must choose 1 problem from each category to solve.
