This folder contains a real world application project in which students actually make completely free donations to various causes. The activity allows students to exhibit their progress towards understanding mathematical operations, as well as applying the mathematical practice standards. This can be used as independent practice, guided practice, collaborative work, and/or assessment. An extension opportunity is also included

About my Products: While the PARCC assesses many of the mathematical practice standards, I aim to create many problems that require students to apply the skills outlined in the performance level descriptors. I believe that the more students are exposed to such types of problems, the more likely they are to succeed on the PARCC, and hence the more likely they are to be prepared for college and careers.
