Description
These flashcards not only emphasize the Commutative Property of Multiplication, but present each multiplication fact in arrays. I'm not sure why the orange = circle got moved on the thumbnails, but they are between the two expressions on the PPT slides. Most students memorize the 2's, 3's, and 5's quickly, and these flashcards use that knowledge and dot arrays to allow students to visualize the multiplication problem to build understanding- AND RETENTION! Some of the cards show the arrays in two different colors showing, for example, that 24 can be combinations of 6's or also combinations of 4's or 3's. In my 20 years in the classroom, no flashcard or multiplication worksheet has worked so well for my students to grasp their facts so quickly and easily! Hours were spent in the creation of these flashcards- I hope you will find that they strengthen your math teaching as well!!!!

CCSS3.OA.A.2
Interpret whole-number quotients of whole numbers, e.g., interpret 56 ÷ 8 as the number of objects in each share when 56 objects are partitioned equally into 8 shares, or as a number of shares when 56 objects are partitioned into equal shares of 8 objects each. For example, describe a context in which a number of shares or a number of groups can be expressed as 56 ÷ 8.
