My students loved completing this worksheet. I like that it challenged my students to think not only on the double, but also the double plus one.

I used this as a practice/exit ticket/ready-made grouping tool! I laminated the copies (one per student) and used dry erase markers. It was great in conjunction with the number lines that I have taped on my tables (also used with dry erase markers) and very easy to differentiate for different ability levels. It was also so engaging that the students who were still needing assistance/instruction did not even seem to notice that the peers who had finished were off to free time at the end of the day! In the end, every student completed the task successfully and some even asked if they could use it again.
