Description

Working on DRAMA? Here is a script of ONE SCENE from Little Red Riding Hood - with the charcters easily identifiable and stage directions in a different font color. HOW I USED THIS: I led up to having students practice in class this one scene over the course of 2 weeks by first showng them a video example of children on stage acting out this classic story. Then we saw a video of the story being acted out as puppets. We moved from there to viewing and analyzing this script: discussing, memorizing it, then acting out this scene with puppets. Finally moving on to actually having the students as actors themselves - they loved it! And by the end, they had a great grasp on props, stage directions, dialogue, and the difference between a story drama and the same story in a book (Texas Kinder TEKS).
