Description

How to use this freebie :

This product is great to use as a center during math rotations, small groups, or as whole class. Ultimately it can be used as you see best in your class!

Have students make increasing and decreasing patterns using unifex cubes, counters, pattern blocks or any other manipulatives that you may have. Once they have extended the pattern four times, students will simply draw their pattern on their page. When they have completed one pattern they then can do another. It is hands- on work as well as pencil to paper.

Copy these pages back to back and use this activity page for multiple opportunities for practice.

Adding this page to your math activity is a great way to check students understanding either through summative or formative assessment. As well, it is a way of checking that students are doing their work during math centers. It has worked great in my classroom and I hope it will in yours as well!
