Description
This is a great complement to your unit on Rabbits or an Easter unit. It goes with the book: Duck! Rabbit! by Amy Krouse Rosenthal and Tom Lichtenheld, which is a great book to get some discussion going about point of view.
After reading the book with your class, you will be able to have a class vote on which animal they think the picture shows: duck or rabbit. Then they can complete their own graph to show the class results. Finally they can turn the head into the animal they think it is and explain why. I'm sure your kids will love sharing their opinions on this one!

Loved using this with my first graders for opinion writing.
Cute activity during Easter. Kids like to pick the duck or rabbit on what they see.
I love this book, and this resource is a perfect introduction to writing persuasive texts.
OH MY GOODNESS!!! We had so much fun with this activity. My kiddos needed to do a "public discourse" assignment so we read the story then they "took sides" Then we wrote an opinion piece ( 2 birds/one stone) then they drew pictures around their chosen animal template ( mixed media) PERFECT!!! Thank you!!!
I read the book, and we voted as a class- this was a great resource to use! So fun. Thank you!
My students enjoyed using this resource. It provided just the right amount of challenge for them. It looks nice mounted on construction paper. I hung them in the hallway.
