Use these task cards with an Earth Day theme to have students practice answering text dependent questions while learning about Earth Day.
This low-prep activity (print-n-go) is perfect for reading stations, small group work, sub tubs, or upload to Google Slides or Schoology, which is an even easier way to go! Simply provide students with a hard copy of the record sheet, which is a 2-page packet, copied back-to-back. My students are required to answer the questions in complete sentences, restating the question on their record sheets. These half-page task cards are mostly on a 2nd grade level, yet several grade levels are listed to assist with differentiation.

· Student Record Sheet
· Answer Key
No color printer? No problem! Simply print out the task cards in grayscale, and provide students a “packet” to be worked on as a “When You’re Finished” project. Students can work on the task cards throughout the day, and as a class, come together to discuss answers. Project the colored task cards during this time, and students can still enjoy the brightly colored cards.
