These pages offer students practice with sounds, spelling patterns, sight words, and decodable text. They also provide a link to comprehension, by having students draw a picture in response to the story.
Each week's pages are aligned to the ECRI and HMH Into Reading scope and sequence for kindergarten, and the decodables are pulled from the HMH texts. They can also be utilized as extra practice for students regardless of your curriculum!
I use these daily in my classroom -- Tier 1 students can practice independently or with a partner, and Tier 2 students can practice with guidance from an adult. They also allow for a great deal of differentiation, because I can pull a specific module based on each student's need. The pages can also be sent home -- they are user friendly, allowing families to practice targeted and aligned skills with their student!
