Description

5th Grade Quiz Show unit review designed to complement the Everyday Math program California version developed by the University of Chicago School Mathematics Project. This power point quiz show is a fun interactive way to review for the progress check on the unit.

Hyperlinks are built into the slides. Simply click on the category i.e. Factors for 1 point, you will be automatically directed to the right slide, have the students answer the questions (see below for one option), and click to reveal the correct answer. Click on the home box on the bottom right of the slide to go back to the main screen to select the next category and value. After a box has been selected it will change color letting you know it has already been used.

Option for student responses.
Have the students get out their whiteboards and pull sticks for names to select the questions. Students write their questions on the white boards and show them at the teachers signal. They add the points for each correct response to their total.

The quiz show covers the area of number theory specifically: rectangular arrays, factors, divisibility, prime and composite numbers, square numbers, factor strings, and prime factorizations.

I'm hoping that there are others or a bundle for all EDM math units. The kids love to review while playing at the same time.
