ELA Composition Notebook Guidelines + Quarterly Notebook Check

What you get:

-1 Editable PowerPoint Slide of Guidelines (above) and Quarterly Rubric (below)

-Guidelines include the benefits of using a Composition Notebook in class as well as what to do and not do with their notebook

-Quarterly Notebook Check includes a space for a rubric and 4 quarterly grades and point system

-Change fonts and layouts as you wish

-Personalize graphics 

-Edit, delete, or rewrite content

How I used it: 

-Make a single copy per student. Use a cutter to cut top half. Have students tape the Guidelines on the inside cover of their ELA Composition Notebook. Have students tape the Quarterly Rubric (bottom half) on the insider over of the back of the notebook. Review with guidelines and grading students with rubric. Collect notebooks every quarter for grading.

Perfect for:

-Teachers teaching Grades 6-8 ELA or Reading. Could be adapted for high school grades 

-Reading or ELA class

-Can be adapted to other subjects

-Students in General Education, Special Education, Gifted

-Teachers who want to incorporate a notebook or interactive notebook but do not know where to begin

-Teachers who already use a composition book and want to add these components
