EM Wave Instragram Profile Project

What others say

"Waves are not my favorite unit to discuss in physical science, but this project made it something for me to look forward to. The students really took to it, and most of them enjoyed working on it in class. This will definitely be a resource I return to in the future! "

Description

Wavestagram anyone?! This activity is super fun and a way for students to get creative with electromagnetic waves!

Students will choose a wave type and create an instagram profile based on that wave type. This is a great opportunity to get their creative juices flowing. Students will NOT create an actual instagram account. Students will use an instagram template. This template is from Cynthia Nixon in google sheets. It is very easy to use and navigate!

These guidelines are easy to follow and students just love instagram!

This is great for a unit project, or extra credit!

I'm so glad they liked it! It really allows for some fun and creativity where they may not always see that in science!

This was a little difficult for my lower students- they had a difficult time. I had to switch up the activity for them. This was a fantastic resource for advanced/gifted students. They were very creative and the products were so fun to see!

I can definitely see where the students would struggle. I dealt with that this year but they made it though. I’m so happy to hear about all the creativity! If you share any, please tag me on IG (msbaldphysics) I’d love to see!
