Running out of ideas during the end of the year? Then this is a MUST HAVE!

This is a Google Sheet activity that combines math skills with technology.

Students will have fun exploring a vacation destination of their choice and researching hotels, activities, food, and vehicles for their trip.

There are two versions included for differentiation:

Version One

Easier option for students that want to compare their choices, but aren't ready to use Google Sheet formulas.
The formulas are already embedded so they can see the comparisons after they research their vacation details.

Version Two

Encourages students to use higher leveled thinking to input formulas that will help them compare the data.
Includes a step by step guide that walks them through the necessary formulas.

This project will take 1-3 days to finish, depending on the length of your class. There is NO prep and extremely engaging.

Great project but needs tweaking or a bit of guidance...

Did the easier version of this project with my 7th & 8th grade math students. Quite a few of the cells were formatted with white font, which caused students to delete formulas thus affecting the summary screen. Double check the formulas as well, a few of them were off but I know formulas well enough to correct them.

I used this resource as a project for their final. The students enjoyed the independence they had with it. They all took the project very seriously and were surprised at how expensive the things they would actually choose were. They learned how to make choices of what was most important to them on the trip and what they could spend a little less on. I plan to use this project again!
