Description
This colourful shapes & colour activity pack is a fun way for preschool or kindergarten children to work on their early math logic skills. Your child can practise the important math skills of sorting by more than one attribute and understanding how to work with grids.
There are 16 activities focused on sorting shapes and colours at the same time.
The activities increase in difficulty as you go along, and the pack comes with answer pages with all the shapes your child needs to complete the grids.
These activities build logical and flexible thinking as the child has to consider where different shapes and colours must go in the grid. It also enhances their visual discrimination skills as they must discern between similar looking shapes and similar shades of colours. You can cut out the shapes for your child or allow them to do it themselves for additional cutting and sticking practice to strengthen their fine motor skills.
There are six stages which increase in challenge!
Stage 1: Sort 2 shapes by 2 colours
Stage 2: Sort 2 shapes by 3 colours
Stage 3: Sort 3 shapes by 2 colours
Stage 4: Sort 3 shapes by 3 colours
Stage 5: Sort 4 shapes by 3 colours
Stage 6: Sort 3 shapes by 4 colours
You may also choose to laminate the pages and attach the elements with velcro for repeat practice.
