Notes on other good resources that I can't include here because they're copywrighted.

All graphs and (most) pictures are created as shapes in MS Word, so their quality does not degrade when printed.

I do not want these quizzes or their answer keys floating around the internet. Please keep the quiz answer keys for your eyes only, and don't allow students to take the quizzes home, take pictures of their quiz, etc.

Note: Parts of the unit refer to the ESRT. This is New York State's Earth Science Reference Tables. Even if you don't teach in New York State, they are a fantastic resource (both of information and to help students practice finding information elsewhere, which they will often do in the real world). Printable copies can be found here or here.

I wish there were PPTs to go along with the notes. The activities are great for 9th grade students.

Daily lesson plans are not provided due to the high variability of school schedules. (I have personally taught at schools with 30min, 37min, 43min, 60min, 80min, & 90min periods.) The Unit Plan and Unit Outline give a good order to teach these in and break the unit down to a recommended structure for 43min periods, but specific implementation varies from school to school (and even from year to year) due to each school's specific structure, previous preparation of the students you teach that year, etc, making daily lesson plans useless even if they were provided.
