Looking for a NO PREP Easter addition and subtraction activity to use in math? This Easter word problem sort includes addition and subtraction word problems all within 1,000. To complete this activity, students will read word problems and decide if they should add or subtract to find the solution. An addition vs. subtraction anchor chart is also included with two example problems for modeling or guided practice.

Before students cut and sort the word problems, have them solve the problems and write the solution on the sorting cards. Actually finding the sum or the difference reinforces the standard. This sort can be used as independent practice, for small groups, morning work, or homework.
