This Easter themed flexible vs. stuck thinking card sorting activity is a great way to prep kids for Easter activities by discussing how to be flexible in common situations that might arise over the holiday. This activity was designed to include visuals for kids who do not yet have strong reading skills to help increase comprehension and engagement.

One rock/stuck thinking page for cards to be sorted into a "stuck" behavior pile

One large rubber band/flexible thinking page for cards to be sorted into a "flexible" behavior pile

Activity variations:

- Place the cards in an obstacle course. Once at the end of the obstacle course, kids can sort the cards into a flexible/stuck thinking pile. I pair each of the cards with a discussion about why a behavior is demonstrating flexible/stuck thinking, strategies to be flexible, and how it makes others feel when you are being "stuck" on an idea. *I prefer this version of the activity for my younger kids for extra heavy work.

- Cards can be laminated and this can be used for a tabletop activity. Discuss each safe/unsafe action and have kids circle "flexible" or "stuck".
