Description

Enhance your Easter read-alouds with this exciting, Easter-themed Makerspace Activity. This hands-on project is inspired by the read-aloud book, The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind by William Kamkwamba and Bryan Mealer - a true tale about a young, inventive boy who devised a windmill to aid his village in watering their crops. The story includes a discussion on pinwheels, which will serve as a follow-up activity. After reading the story, your students will collaborate to construct their very own PINWHEELS.

This educational maker space activity is designed to promote team building and cooperative learning. It provides a platform for your budding engineers to acquire and practice new STEM skills through an engaging, hands-on activity.
