Description
These Easter matching eggs are perfect for using student work to decorate the classroom.
Each egg has two parts, an array and a matching repeated addition expression. Give each student an array half and let them hunt around the room for the matching addition (or vice versa, but this is the easier direction). Then the two halves can be taped or glued together and decorated.
They can then be used to make an Easter bulletin board or other classroom decoration, or let students take them home.
Note: The size of the arrays goes up to 9x4, so well beyond the 5x5 in the standard. But by Easter many students are ready for more challenging problems, and if not then eggs can be repeated without issue. I do highly recommend using this difficulty range to differentiate the assignment and use the eggs that best fit your students' needs.
