Description
A fun Easter activity for the big kids! This activity includes two different, but similar, sorting activity for the real number system. Students are asked to sort the “eggs” into the proper basket – whole numbers, integers, rational numbers, and irrational numbers. This activity is appropriate for middle and high school students. A full answer key is included for each worksheet. While the cover page is bright and happy, the worksheets are done in black and grayscale to keep copy costs down. This is a great review of the real number system before end-of-course exams roll around.

Know that numbers that are not rational are called irrational. Understand informally that every number has a decimal expansion; for rational numbers show that the decimal expansion repeats eventually, and convert a decimal expansion which repeats eventually into a rational number.
