Easy Read Multiplication Word Problems

These 50 word problems feature short-vowel words except the words “each” and “how many.” If a long-vowel word is needed, it is also in the title and picture (where an adult or peer can help).

Real life gives us with many opportunities to use math. Word problems prepare kids for real life, but kids who are lagging in reading skills, or having language-based disabilities, find themselves getting frustrated by grade-level words problems. This set has been a lifeline for students in my resource (special education) classroom grades 3-8.
