Description

Kids love to to talk about food. Steer that talk in a constructive direction with a debate on eating meat. This worksheet includes a fact sheet on the topic, space for students to record pros and cons, their opinion on the issue and how they would persuade others.

Meat consumption can be quite polarizing! My students will gladly talk all day on this issue and love to share their opinions. I usually guide the discussion by having them toss a ball around. The rule is: if you have the ball you can talk, then you pass it to another person. They really get into it and I rarely am able to fit in all the kids' comments and discussion into a 45 minute period. Your kids will love it!

This worksheet can just be used as a worksheet without the debate component.
