This is a middle school social studies and math integrated unit that was used to teach the economics standards for social studies and number sense and data analysis standards for math. Topics include: supply and demand, surveys, assembly lines, marketing, unit rates, competition and advertising, and profit. The unit includes a culminating activity where students advertise and sell their product and then calculate their earnings. Some of the activities are whole group and others are group or partner activities.
