Description

This is a student-centered, comprehensive 3-month, vocabulary rich unit for spring 1st grade through 3rd grade. Students receive a salary, pay rent and bills, buy luxury items, open bank accounts, earn interest, participate in an auction, and complete the economics cycle of production, distribution and consumption while selling goods and services in cooperative groups. Also included: a detailed and clear scope and sequence, a behavior management system, family letters, literature comprehension guides, a US state geography study, vocabulary cards, posters, thinking and planning worksheets, links to technology, a summative assessment, and so much more. This is tried and true! I have taught this unit for 15+ years with my 1st grade teaching team. It is on their urging that I post this unit on TPT. Enjoy!
