Description

This digital download is the context for learning for math Task 4 of the elementary literacy with math task 4 handbook. This was completed for a standard grade 5 classroom. All logos have been removed for copyright purposes. This is to only be used as an example and I do not condone using this as your own edTPA version.

This was a part of the portfolio that scored me 61/75, if you are struggling with edTPA, I HIGHLY suggest downloading examples such as this one (even if you don't go with mine, download something to use as an example!) it will help you SO MUCH. Best of luck! other resources for other edTPA sections can be found on my page

Use parentheses, brackets, or braces in numerical expressions, and evaluate expressions with these symbols.
Write simple expressions that record calculations with numbers, and interpret numerical expressions without evaluating them. For example, express the calculation “add 8 and 7, then multiply by 2” as 2 × (8 + 7). Recognize that 3 × (18932 + 921) is three times as large as 18932 + 921, without having to calculate the indicated sum or product.
