I added this station to my Daily 5 rotations to increase the fluency of reading words with particular word patterns for my ESL students. I cut each list and place it in a sheet protector and I provide the forms for my students to record how many words per minute or 30 seconds that they can read. The recording sheets are meant as reflections that can be used as data in data chats. The extension to this is that if the students do not know a word, they can use a bilingual dictionary to determine the meaning and create an illustration.
