Description

Organizing my classroom library has always been the job I put off until last when setting up my classroom-mostly because I struggle to find the right set up that stays organized all year long.

I have found that placing my books on the shelves by genre has helped my students! They are able to read the book spines just like they would be in a regular library. I love the way this looks and it has prevented a lot of baskets from breaking!

I tape these library labels directly to the shelf in front of the books since most books are novels and don't take up much space on the shelf. I use some of these labels on baskets for books that do not have a thick book spine such as picture books.

These editable labels were made on google slides. This product includes a color coded key poster to hang in the library and printable book recommendation cards. Students can write a recommendation and post it in a shared space in the library.
