This writing rubric is an excellent resource for assessing student writing consistently and providing meaningful feedback. I love that it can be used across narrative, opinion, and informational writing, making it very versatile. The expectations are clear, student-friendly, and easy to implement. It's been a great tool for both grading and helping students understand how to improve their writing. Highly recommend!

Very helpful to add to my Writing plans this year since we have no official resources or curriculum from our district! Helped students really hone in on what was working and not working with their writing drafts.

For my gifted students and their parents (and my student teachers when grading!) having a cohesive rubric that they can compare against to know the goals for writing and also see specifically areas they need to grow is very helpful to have ready before and when an assignment is given.
