Description

This lesson bundle includes the following resources:

  • "Editing: Presentation"
  • "Editing: Cloze Notes"
  • "Editing: Quiz"

The presentation introduces students to the differences between revising and editing and additionally walks through the five main comma rules that can be used when editing sentences that include commas.

The quiz has students walk through a self-editing checklist and self-assess whether they fully edited the essay they have written.

A 4-point rubric is included where meeting the criteria of numbers 3-4 exhibit mastery and meeting the numbers 1-2 exhibit the need for continued practice or revision.

This product can be used in any classroom format. It originally was designed for use within a blended, self-paced, and mastery-based format that coincides with the model of teaching set forth by the Modern Classrooms Project.
