The complete comprehensive unit is perfect for students to work independently, with a peer, in small groups, or as a class read. Each chapter has comprehension questions with a companion teacher answer key, including page numbers when appropriate. The questions are designed to create discussions and help create a deeper understanding of the text.
The unit includes three assessments and answer keys. The unit is supported with a PowerPoint vocabulary presentation of synonyms and word games activities. There is a ten day unit on grammar and graphic organizers that will help extend the unit and increase student understanding.

This plan is well written and easy for the instructor to follow. It is accurate in its content and encourages the children to think on higher levels about what they read. As an instructor I certainly can see the benefits in purchasing the rest of this unit for my class.
