In this FUN activity students will answer story based math word problems about a family trip to the zoo using the skill of elapsed time.
After completing the word problems student will plan a family trip to the zoo! Using the the provided Animal Show schedule students must plan their day to fit in enough animals shows, a lunch break and don't forget a trip to the gift shop!
Skills Practiced:
-Reading and solving word problems
-Showing the correct time on an an analogue clock
-Calculating elapsed time to the hour and minute.
-Critical thinking & Problem Solving
This is a great challenge for grade 2 students and also appropriate for grade 3.
* Please note this resource is in PDF format. For distance learning purposes, students will need to print the worksheets themselves. I posted it in Google Drive for my students and they easily accessed it*
