This is a virtual lab in which students explore the basic properties of elements in order to identify "unknown" elements. Students become familiar with the following properties: density, flame color, boiling point, and melting point. Resources required: student computers with internet access. Links provided with product for easy and free access to the virtual lab. May be completed individually or in cooperative groups. Answer key included for quick and easy grading.
