Description
This activity is an engaging way to formatively assess student understanding of the difference between elements and compounds. The examples include multiple representations of both elements and compounds to familiarize students with different representations and to assess their ability to transfer knowledge to different representations. A great follow up activity found in my store would be the Element, Compound, or Mixture Sorting Board.
