This card sort allows students to practice identifying elements based upon their properties. Students will be able to identify elements when provided with their number of valence electrons, number of energy levels, location on the periodic table, whether they are metals, non-metals, or metalloids, reactivity and their states of matter. This activity would be great for an engagement activity, review, spiraling activity, re-teach activity, stations, or for tutorials.
