Elementary Career Interest Inventory
Share

Description

Before completing a transition portion of an IEP, I would make sure that I had completed this elementary career interest inventory with the student. This allows me to ask them a line of questioning that allows me to better understand their interests. As I ask them the questions, I write down their responses, not only to see what area of career they would be interested in, but also to analyze their communication skills.

As a general education teacher this is great to use for "College and Career Readiness," profession research, and to set up a unit on word collecting. What better words to collect than ones that relate to the world?

Met expectations
This is a very nice resource to use. Students who have limited language may have a difficult time completing it.
