Description

Do your students have trouble applying the concepts for the SEL curriculum? Many students are taught to state what emotional category they are in, but do not have the skills to determine this. Using this chart with possible body sensations (interoception) that are associated with each category can be helpful to students in determining the category prior to applying strategies that they have learned.

  • Powerpoint format to allow easy editing
  • Tips for using the charts
  • Includes 3 different charts; one with possible sensations and images listed, one without sensations but with images, and one without sensations or images (all charts are shown in the thumbnails)

Teachers/therapists are encouraged to teach students how different emotions might feel in the their bodies and type them onto either of the blank charts to personalize them.

Once the student has personalized their slide, print it out for home and/or classroom use.

Consider purchasing the Interoception curriculum to learn more about teaching students the link between emotions and inner body sensations.
