This PowerPoint file is a wonderful presentation about the major glands of the endocrine system. The presentation begins with an overview, then discusses steroid and non-steroid hormones, and then highlights the following glands: hypothalamus, pituitary, thyroid, thymus, pancreas, adrenals, ovaries, testes. This PowerPoint contains a very nice collection of images and animations to assist with understanding. All pictures used are in the “public domain” so there is no worry of copyright violation. At the end is a quick practice quiz for your students to try if you wish to check for understanding.

I have also included a “fill-in-the-blank” style worksheet to accompany these notes for you to distribute to your students if you wish.
