Description

**Used in accordance with the Engage New York curriculum

I took the "meat" of each lesson from Module 1 and made this Google slideshow! (Note: Some lessons that have the same objective are combined)

Each lesson includes Spiral Review, Fluency, Mental Math, Concept Development, CGI (Problem Set), and Exit Ticket. It is fully EDITABLE so it can meet your needs!

For each new unit of measurement, there are examples embedded in the Google Slides. (An example is shown in the thumbnails)

Some lessons are combined together to keep up with a pacing guide and the first few IMPORTANT lessons are broken apart to ensure understanding. Here's how they're organized:

Lesson 1 - broken up by topic into 3 days

Lesson 2 - broken up by topic into 2 days

Lesson 3 - 1 day

Lesson 4 - 1 day

Lesson 5 - 1 day

MODULE 1 Review Slide - 1 day

MODULE 1 Test Slide (Test not included) - 1 day

Know relative sizes of measurement units within one system of units including km, m, cm; kg, g; lb, oz.; l, ml; hr, min, sec. Within a single system of measurement, express measurements in a larger unit in terms of a smaller unit. Record measurement equivalents in a two-column table. For example, know that 1 ft is 12 times as long as 1 in. Express the length of a 4 ft snake as 48 in. Generate a conversion table for feet and inches listing the number pairs (1, 12), (2, 24), (3, 36),...
Use the four operations to solve word problems involving distances, intervals of time, liquid volumes, masses of objects, and money, including problems involving simple fractions or decimals, and problems that require expressing measurements given in a larger unit in terms of a smaller unit. Represent measurement quantities using diagrams such as number line diagrams that feature a measurement scale.
