Description

Throughout my experiences teaching math using EngageNY's Modules, I've found that the most efficient and effective way to help keep my students on task and organized is to provide each student with a copy of this journal. I've found that my students are less likely to lose any of their Module materials when it is in a journal format. Students are also encouraged to keep their journals for each topic throughout the entire Module to reference when completing homework and/or preparing for a Topic Quiz or Module Assessment.

This file features Lessons 5-6 from EngageNY's 4th Grade Math Module 1 Topic B. Students are able to clearly identify and state the objective of each lesson, given space to complete the lesson's Application Problem, as well as work through the Concept Development problems for each lesson. I also like to include a copy of the Problem Set for each lesson within the journal. (Problem Sets are available for download on engageny.org) The journal was created to be both teacher and student-friendly!

A very special thank you to Images by Teacher Inspired © (www.teacherinspired.blogspot.com), Ink n Little Things, and Dots of Fun for their bright and colorful digital files that were used to create this product!
