Description

Extend your Engineering CTE course with this 4-Week Applied Engineering Extension Bundle, designed for Grades 6–12 and built entirely around project-based learning (PBL). In this applied sequence, students move beyond engineering awareness into real-world problem solving, systems thinking, design justification, and professional communication.

Across four structured weeks, students analyze engineering problems, apply the Engineering Design Process, evaluate systems and forces, test and redesign solutions, and explore future engineering innovation. Every week culminates in a Mini Capstone Project, requiring students to explain and defend their decisions using evidence—just like real engineers.

Each week follows a consistent, classroom-tested instructional arc:

Learn → Analyze → Apply → Plan → Mini Capstone

This bundle is designed to follow a 6-Week Engineering Foundations Unit, but each applied week may also be taught independently as a stand-alone engineering mini-unit.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

(4-WEEK APPLIED ENGINEERING BUNDLE)

  • 20 teacher-ready daily lesson plans (40–50 minutes each)
  • Editable Google Slides with student follow-along
  • Student-friendly learning intentions and success criteria
  • Print-ready PDF student handouts and organizers
  • 4 applied Mini Capstone Projects (one per week)
