Description

This video is an introductory engineering activity aimed at Elementary and Middle School Students. Students are guided through the Engineering Design Process for the following challenge: Can they safely send a message to their socially-distanced friend 6+ feet away? This activity is suitable for students in virtual or in-person learning settings.

There is an accompanying video that briefly defines engineering, describes ten different engineering disciplines, and has a quiz for students to guess whether an everyday item has been engineered. At the end of a video is a prompt for the students to try the engineering challenge. The video can also be found at: https://youtu.be/LoS2xXWHi78
