This resource includes modified files that facilitate online - distance learning:

• Fillable slides designed to work with Google Slides and Microsoft PowerPoint

Important Notes about Fillable Slides:

• Digital assignments work seamlessly with Google Slides: WATCH ME

• Each assignment is saved as an individual file with the key removed.

• Digital assignments CANNOT be edited. Only the text boxes or forms can be manipulated.

All Digital resources can be shared via platforms that are password-protected or accessible only to students.


Differentiation and Tiering

A colored shape code is denoted to help you differentiate concepts:

• Bell Ringers with a green circle covers basic ideas and understandings.

• Bell Ringers with a blue square covers intermediate ideas and understandings.

• Bell Ringers with a black diamond covers advanced ideas and understandings.

A signal strength is used to help probe lower, mid and higher order thinking:

• “Low” signal strength assesses the ability to remember, recall and understand

• “Medium” signal strength assesses the ability to apply, analyze or explain

• “High” signal strength assesses the ability to evaluate, judge or interpret

Note: Some units do not include all levels of differentiation.

NGSS Alignment

• This resource supports NGSS ETS, Science and Engineering Practices (SEPs) and Nature of Science topics (NOS).
